Program Goals
- To develop the whole child: spiritual, physical, social, emotional and intellectual.
- To provide an atmosphere that fosters good self-image.
- To develop a sense of responsibility and independence that results in positive feelings toward learning.
Program Schedule
Opening
Prayer, attendance, Pledge of Allegiance, calendar and weather.
Religion
Our program is based on the self-concept of each child and is integrated with many acitivities throughout the week. The children learn that they are a part of the Church family and that Jesus loves and needs them.
Reading Readiness
Integrates auditory skills, visual discrimination, phonics, children's literature, fine motor skills, expressive language and creative expression.
Learning Centers
Activities provided that acknowledge developmental differences in children: games center, fine motor center, math center, science center, art center, computer center and listening center.
Math Readiness
Manipulatives are used to develop mathematical concepts such as sorting, patterning, graphing and estimating. Number concepts are also explored.

Registration
Registration is held in January for the following school year. All applicants are screened in March for readiness. Acceptance is dependent on acceptable screening as well as the following criteria: 1) sibling currently enrolled in Saint Paul K-8; 2) registered and contributing member of St. Paul Church; 3) applicant is currently enrolled in the Saint Paul Pre-K program; 4) all other. Note: enrollment in the Pre-K program does not guarantee acceptance into Kindergarten. A non-refundable $50 application fee is due at the time of registration.
Kindergarten Screening
All applicants are screened for readiness before acceptance. Screening is held in March. A decision regarding student admission will be made by April.
